you Help new comers to understand and cope up with the life style of their children/in-laws in this country, more so enable them to come out of the shock and realize this is the life here. i would be happy that chitra would take few more issues to undely the importance of keeping the identitiy and values of our culture - manifest of love and care to family and society. It is fully understandable that if some aspect of our culture hinders our surviving, growing winning the environment, we may have to adopt new cultural traits as long as these new traits keep you honorable and price worthy. Adapting to neo American culture should not weaken your family binding, We should able to maintain your identity, adopt our values, habits and our ways of thinking. It is realize that these new traits would come as strangers at first and latter would gather unwanted many to family jeopardy and self destruction. It is therefore we should not loose what is rightly ours. Think before what is right! kannan raghavan, san Diego
