Weaver birds and Monkeys
1. ஒரு காட்டில் தூக்கணாங்குருவிகள் வேர்களாலும், செடி நார்களாலும் ஆன அழகிய கூடுகளைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டு வாழ்ந்தன.
1. In a jungle, weaver birds built beautiful nests made of roots and plant fibres and lived in them.
2. ஒரு நாள் நல்ல மழை பெய்தது. குருவிகள் தங்கள் கூட்டில் பாதுகாப்பாக இருந்தன. அவை சில குரங்குகள் மழையில் நனைந்து நடுங்குவதைப் பார்த்தன.
2. One day it rained heavily. The weaver birds were safe in their nests. They saw some monkeys getting drenched.
3. ஒரு குருவி ''எங்களைப் பார். நாங்கள் முன் யோசனையாகப் பாதுகாப்பான கூடுகளைக் கட்டியிருக்கிறோம். நீங்கள் ஏன் அவ்வாறு செய்யவில்லை?" என்று கேட்டது.
3. A weaver bird said, "Look at us. we had the forethought to build protective nests. Why haven't you monkeys thought of building shetlers?"
4. குரங்குகள் ஆத்திரமடைந்து, குருவிகளின் கூட்டைப் பிய்த்து எறிந்தன. இப்போது குருவிகளுக்கும் மழைக்கு ஒதுங்க இடமில்லாமல் போயிற்று.
4. The monkeys got angry and tore the nests apart. The weaver birds too were now shelterless in the rains!
மூடர்களுக்கு அறிவுரை சொல்லிப் பயனில்லை.
Do not attempt to advise foolish people.
